This journal was made for my wife, who thought the ladybugs were cute. I found the ladybug paper in a store in Japan and the little ladybug trinkets in a different sewing store there too, which I attached to the bookmarks. The beautiful, very soft leather was found in a leather a dealer in Manhattan, and I think it is a pared Spanish sheepskin.
